A man initially detained in connection with the Manchester City synagogue attack has been taken into custody again at the local airport.

Two individuals lost their lives when Jihad Al-Shamie, 35, carried out a car and knife assault at the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue on October 2.

Counter Terrorism Policing North West stated the thirty-year-old suspect was originally arrested on suspected planning, preparing, and instigating of terrorist activities.

Police clarified he was re-arrested at Manchester Airport on suspected failing to disclose information contrary to Section 38B of the 2000 Terrorism Act. He has since been granted bail with certain restrictions.

Police stated they "are confident there is any ongoing threat to the public following the event last week."

Six people were detained in the wake of the incident, with two—one male and one female—arrested in the following hours and then freed on Sunday evening.

The following day, detectives stated they had been granted extra time to interrogate the other four individuals, who were also detained on "suspicion of commission, preparation and instigation of terrorist acts."

On Wednesday, authorities indicated they too were scheduled for release but emphasized that "was not an indication the investigation was complete."

Also on Wednesday, authorities revealed that the suspect made a 999 call in which he swore loyalty to the organization calling itself IS.

Melvin Cravitz, 66, and fifty-three-year-old Adrian Daulby died in the attack on Middleton Road in the area.

Mr Daulby suffered a bullet injury after armed police officers arrived at the scene and fatally shot the attacker dead.

A officer's bullet also hit a different individual, Yoni Finlay, who is undergoing treatment after surgery.
