Based on latest figures, the population of people aged 100 and above in the UK has doubled from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.

From 2004 and 2024, the total of male individuals reaching 100 has tripled from 910 to 3,100. During the same period, the amount of women aged 100 or over increased by nearly 100% from 7,400 to 13,600.

We are eager to listen to those aged 100 or over, their family or friends, about what it has been like to bear witness to the past century’s transformative changes and changes.
